Quality Checking the Instance

This section describes the steps you can take to improve your users' experience after setting up a site.

Checking Panorama Images

Follow these steps to check the quality of panorama images in your instance:

  1. Go to a site in your instance.
  2. In the panorama view, move through the instance.
  3. Look for any images that depict unwanted information such as people, objects and sensitive information.
  4. If you find images that you do not want to show, right-click and select Hide current location from the context menu.
Note: Images you hide in this way are not permanently deleted. NavVis IVION will not show a location marker for them, meaning end users will not find them, but they remain in the database and on the web server.
  5. Repeat these steps for all the sites in your instance.

Checking Navigation Graph Quality

You can test the quality of your navigation graph by creating a route through your building.

Follow these steps to check the quality of the navigation graph(s) in your instance:
  1. Go to a site in your instance.
  2. Find a starting point for your route.
  3. Right-click and select Route from here from the context menu.
  4. Move through the site and find an end point for your route.
Tip: We recommend choosing a long route and/or a route that covers multiple floors.
  5. Right-click and select Route to here from the context menu.
You should see a box in the top left corner of your screen giving directions.
  6. If no route is found, edit your navigation graph.
  7. Repeat these steps for all the sites in your instance.
