Booking a NavVis Cloud Instance

The booking of NavVis Cloud instances happens via slots. A slot is a place holder for an instance.

You can activate or deactivate an instance in your slot any time you want. If you no longer need a specific instance, the slot can be filled with another instance.

An instance slot can be purchased as part of a NavVis Starter Kit or on its own.

Follow these steps to book a slot for your NavVis Cloud instance:

  1. Go to
  2. Create a NavVis Cloud account. To do that:
    1. Click Sign up here in the top right corner of your screen.
    2. Enter your first and last name and your email address.
    3. Click Sign Up.
  3. Once you have a NavVis Cloud account, contact your Technical Account Manager to book an instance slot.
    Your Technical Account Manager will then create an instance slot for you.

Activating a NavVis Cloud Instance

After a slot for your NavVis Cloud instance has been created, you can activate the instance.

Follow these steps to activate your NavVis Cloud instance:

  1. Go to
  2. Sign in with your user credentials.
  3. Go to Instances.
  4. Click Activate next to the instance you want to activate.
  5. Optionally, set an expiration date for the instance.
  6. Enter a name and a URL for the instance.
  7. Choose whether to make the instance public or private.
  8. Click Activate Instance.
